Who can the US catch?
"If we can’t catch a Nigerian with a powerful explosive powder in his oddly feminine-looking underpants and a syringe full of acid, a man whose own father had alerted the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria, a traveler whose ticket was paid for in cash and who didn’t check bags, whose visa renewal had been denied by the British, who had studied Arabic in Al Qaeda sanctuary Yemen, whose name was on a counterterrorism watch list, who can we catch?" - NY Times

US Consulate car tries to run over Jew
So? Who cares?
Sure, one can't differenciate between this attempted terror attack and the terror attack from the 2nd of July 2008 when an Arab terrorist stole a tractor and ran over as many Jews as he could, or the terror attack from the 22nd of July 2008 when another Arab terrorist stole a bulldozer and tried to run over as many Jews as possible, or when on 5th of March 2009 an Arab terrorist took a car and tried to run over as many Jews as possible.
Obviously one can't differentiate between this attempted terror attack and those 3 terror attacks.
BUT a car belonging to a diplomatic service in Israel has diplomatic immunity and can not be stopped - the only thing Israel can and should do is to now say that the driver of that car will no longer have diplomatic immunity or be allowed to be in the country.
Sure, if it was a national border crossing and the US car was crossing in to or out of a country from another entity and/or country then obviously the car wouldn't have diplomatic immunity - since the diplomatic mission would only have diplomatic imminutiy in one of the countries/entities.
But since Samaria and Beit Shean (where the car was travelling in between) are both integral and inseperable parts of the State of Israel, Israel can do nothing except ask the driver the leave to leave the country.

British occupied territory
If products coming from Judea or Samaria are going to be labelled as coming from “Israeli occupied territory" when sold in Britain then products coming from a country that isn't Britain but has the British queen's face on their money should be labelled as coming from "British occupied territory" when being sold in Israel.
